Regarding the laws and regulations regarding motorcycle rentals in Phuket, here are some important recommendations:

Is an IDP Required in Thailand?
Yes—most tourists are required to have an IDP when driving in Thailand. Thai law states that foreign drivers must present a valid driver’s license written in English or Thai, or an International Driving Permit. This applies to both renting and driving a vehicle in Thailand, including cars, motorbikes, and scooters.
Driving Guidelines (Thai Traffic Laws)
• Helmets: Both drivers and passengers must wear helmets at all times while riding on public roads (this is required by law and subject to strict fines in Phuket).• Obey traffic laws: Drive carefully, avoid speeding, drive against traffic, and obey traffic signs.
• Drink-Driving: Drink-driving carries severe legal penalties.

Motorcyclists are strictly prohibited from driving into tunnels in Thailand
due to the dangers of limited visibility, narrow lanes, loss of control from wind, and the risk of being sucked into by trucks. Violators are subject to legal penalties and fines.Scooter Rate Price
